Miller’s scoring average soared for the second straight season, this time to a career-high 24.6 ppg - eighth best in the NBA. But it wasn’t until 1989-90 when he truly took off. In his second season, Miller’s scoring average rose to 16.0 ppg and lead Indiana with 93 steals. He only started one game and backed up veteran John Long, but he was the only Pacer to play in all 82 games that season.

Since his retirement, he’s been surpassed by Ray Allen and Stephen Curry as the NBA’s all-time 3-point king and has moved down several pegs on the all-time scoring list. He poured in 25,279 points to finish his career in 12th place on the league’s all-time scoring list.
